Mr Sondergaard is a highly qualified international energy consultant with almost 30 years of experience in the EE and RE sector. He has worked for both public and private companies and organizations at national and international level and has extensive Programme Manager/Team Leader experience from more than 100 projects

on various energy projects in Asia, Africa and Europe. He has managed a considerable number of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects to successful technical and financial implementation.

Mr Morten Sondergaard is not only a highly qualified international expert in energy and energy related sectors. He is also an experienced international energy trainer and energy education sector specialist. Currently, he is Team Leader at the project “Support to the Vietnamese National EE and EC Program”, where one of the main outputs is development of a certified training scheme for energy managers at university level. During the period 2005 – 2008, Mr. Sondergaard was training and education expert at the project “Development of Energy Efficiency in the Building Sector in Botswana”, responsible for development of knowledge and skills of architects, engineers and technicians within energy efficiency in buildings. Mr. Sondergaard was responsible for the development and implementation of a training programme for Continued Adult Training in energy efficiency. It was piloted on postdegree level (B.Sc) at certificate level. From 2000-2004, Mr Sondergaard also worked closely with the Ministry of Education and the M
inistry of Energy, Communication and Multimedia in Malaysia to include energy in the curriculum of primary and post primary students. The main aim was to improve the quality of energy education in all 1800 secondary schools in Malaysia. In addition to the above-mentioned work in post-primary education, Mr Sondergaard designed and developed a 2-credit course in Energy and Environment for university students in their 3rd semester. Mr Sondergaard also trained the lecturers who now are teaching the course.
